Hallelujah! I am happy to announce that we have now gone 7 days and 7 nights with no pull ups, and NO accidents! I'm serious people, nothing but underwear every day, even naps and night-time. He asks to use the potty in public, and gets out of bed at night to use the potty. I seriously thought this day would never come...seriously. We came so closely to conquering this awhile back, and then took a huge step back. Then BAM, over night he was trained! He started taking his pull ups off and putting on underwear. What happened you ask? Glad you asked. :) We signed up for soccer about two weeks ago and I started to tell him only big boys get to play soccer. And big boys use the potty! Boys who wear pull-ups don't get to play soccer. He was happy when he put two and two together...that means Miles won't get to play, and he would! Ah ha! And that's it, end of story. He has not had one accident since then! Every child is different and its all about figuring what makes them each tick. Cooper is at an age of wanting his own things, and being a "big boy". The idea of getting to play soccer (something he loves) and Miles not, was a big treat. We had already promised that he could have a dog when he got potty trained, and he doesn't even care...all he wants to do is play soccer. He is going to be so dang cute in his soccer uniform come March. Practice starts the week of his birthday. (Speaking of birthday, everything we talk about, see, pass on the road, or see on a commercial......is going to be his birthday! haha...umm no.) He is so dang cute running around in his little skivvy drawers..it takes everything in me not to take pictures of that cute butt all day. He put his underwear on backwards and inside out again today...lets just say, we need some practice wiping..haha.
So we'll give it another week or two, and make sure we are REALLY potty trained, and then maybe we will get the puppy and some soccer nets. Proud mommy. xo
FF(fun facts) I am almost 30. Not sure that is fun, but it sure as hell is a fact!
