Birthdays and Babies!

Hey friends...feels like it's been 4EVER since I have been on here. My computer wasn't working and on top of that it has been a crazy couple months. Hope this post finds you all happy and healthy!
So lets see, let me give you a list of what has happened since my last post. I think I posted about Sean's bday in late February. March to now I guess has been skipped...

  • Cooper turned 3. We went to Chuck E.Cheese as a family on his actual bday. Had his party with friends at the Hoppin' Hippo, a "jump jump" place..lol Such a big boy now!
  • I turned 30. My mom and sister took me to dinner and a movie in The Domain. Had a great time. My hubby and boys spoiled me with gifts and loved on me :)
  • My mom turned 50! yowza! :)
  • Easter. Fun filled day of brunch, church and barbecued that evening. With my boys and mom all day!
  • Mother's Day :) Breakfast in bed, and spend the day @ Zilker Park. Barton Springs pool, picnic, and train ride! So much fun.
  • We found a house that we love in old town Georgetown and can not wait to move in! June 28th!!
  • Oh, how can I forget...we found out we were pregnant! :)
I'm sure I've missed something in there..Spring is a busy time of year! This weekend coming is our 5th wedding anniversary. 7 years together.. Looking forward to spending the day with my love.

I have been prego since mid February, so I have been pretty emotional through Spring thus far. For the obvious of reasons of hormones, and all the emotion that comes for me of just being pregnant. With a history of 4 miscarriages, I know that anything can happen. But every time I get pregnant I always have hope and pray for the best. It's a very difficult experience to go through, and God continues to bless me with friends who reach out and support me to keep faith. I can not tell you how it warms my heart to have friends who are excited for me and who support me. This go round one person in particular, who has been such a sweet, selfless friend. Even though she had just experienced a miscarriage herself, and was wanting so badly to be pregnant, found time to call/text/email to encourage and be happy for me! Amazing. I have been were she was and know how hard it is to hear friends becoming pregnant when you desire to be/or just had a miscarriage. To put those feelings aside and be happy for your friend is a beautiful gift! And what is even more beautiful is she is now pregnant again!! So happy for her. God loves to bless those who bless others.

Anyway...I'm happy to be blogging again and sharing life with y'all! When the boys wake up we are going over to the new house having a picnic in the backyard, and taking some measurements inside. :) I think the boys are just as excited as we are! People aren't always going to understand our decision making when it comes to jobs, houses, or family decisions, and that's ok. It's not for everyone else to understand or except. What's important is that you continue to listen to the prompting of the Holy Spirit and how he is trying to help guide your footsteps for your life, and your family. The decision to stay in Georgetown and get a larger home is something our family is SO excited about, and I know that I know, it is where we are suppose to be.

LOVE YOU ALL!! XOXOXO

Blind (play) Date

Saturday morning we went on a play-date with one of Sean's coworkers and his family. This was a "blind play date" for me.... Now, I am a pretty social person, and get along with MOST, but I still get a bit nervous meeting new people. Will they like me, will they talk (that one is frustrating), will our kids get along? The family is new to the area, and have not met many people yet. The wife works from home, and they have one son, Ryan, who is 2 (27 months). So, right in the middle of our two boys age. Both our boys were taller/bigger than Ryan...which we are getting use to. Both of our boys are off the charts in height for their age. I see sports scholarships in their future :)
So our morning went a little something like this...

Sean got up early and went fly fishing down by the river, came home to us still getting ready, and me not feeling so good. SO of course we were running late. Granted we were meeting them in their hood, but it wouldn't be a Rhea day if we were not at least 5 minutes late. Almost there, and Cooper needs to go number two....even later now.
We did eventually get to the park, and found our play-date. Such a nice couple, and an adorable little boy. The boys played on the play-scape for a while and we all got to have "grown up talk". Turned out we had a couple things in common :) Next up was kite flying in the field next to the park...this was our boys first time. Super fun. Followed up with lunch @ Panera Bread. Ryan, the little boy, has severe peanut allergies, so Cooper couldn't have his PBJ. ha ha. No peanut stuff could be on the table or near him. Believe it or not, Cooper did live with out his PBJ.
Great morning.

Slide time ....weeee

Yes, time-out happens in the park. He looks thrilled. HA

No More Monkeys Climbing on My Couch!

Friday evening we decided to pick up some Rudy's BBQ (for those of you who do not know, this is a BBQ joint that is attached to a gas station, yup) and take it to a park near by, Berry Springs! It was so flipping nice outside, and my boys would not quit climbing all over my furniture at home. Problem solved, temporarily. Sometimes attempting events like this with an 19 month old and almost 3 year old, can be...well, not so enjoyable. There is running off, not interested in eating because we are at the park, or "I need to potty". BUT surprisingly, it was AWESOME. It was a quick dinner, but they did eat, and they did listen when told not to take off.  They climbed and climbed on the play set, and we did some exploring. AND of course...I took pictures. Love.

Handy Manny Part II

Tonight was the attempt at getting the plants in the ground.  Between Handy Manny not getting home as early as he thought, and still needing to eat dinner, it did not happen.  I have definitely learned to go with the flow now that I have kids. The boys had so much fun helping again, they love being BUSY! Getting dirty in the dirt, and helping dad...that's like their perfect day! haha. We got the rest of the soil in and all mixed up...but that's about it. Watered the plants, got covered in water, went in and ate yummy lasagna :) Maybe, just maybe, we will get the plants in tomorrow...

"Gardening is about enjoying the smell of things growing in the soil, getting dirty without feeling guilty, and generally taking the time to soak up a little peace and serenity."

"Plants give us oxygen for the lungs and for the soul."

"The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,
One is nearer God's heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth."

Applesauce Bath

Today while taking a little time to chat with my girlfriend Natalie, my boys decided to have snack time. I saw them get the applesauce, and sat them down at the table. I walked away for five minutes and came back to quite the exciting snack time. Even though it was a mess, and ended with everyone needing a bath, it was quite cute. So I snapped a couple pictures. Can't leave them alone for a minute! (I usually don't want to anyway :)

Wasn't happy about getting out of the bath!

FF(fun facts) Sean bought Cooper his first golf clubs for his birthday coming up! He is so excited to give them to him. We live by the golf course and Cooper is always talking about going with dad to play...so dang cute! Looks like they will be playing soon! I am some how going to have to figure out how I can tag along, or hide in the bushes so that I can take pictures :) Maybe I can pay the beer girl money to let me drive the cart, and I'll just follow behind them..haha.
